2. Wohnout – The Club of the Bohemian Bohemians

This post is also available in German Polish Czech Belarusian

This year’s second musical goody is rather a regular in our calendar: Wohnout. After Ó, gramofón in 2009 and Modlitba pro hříšníky in 2013, this year’s Svaz českých bohémů comes with the usual comical mixture of energy and irony. The topic, however, is a little more serious: Memories of a long night out with friends and of how you want to change the system, yes, even live, when being in a drunken community.

The Club of the Bohemian Bohemians

I come back home, drunken from good wine
Straight lines become curves, the world twists and turns, I’v really had one to many.
Next to me a puking princess, I offer her my hand and bless her
For all clear messages – this is what’s called friendship.

I have a thousand questions after remembering nothing
I piece myself a picture together, one stone after another.
Last night’s work disappeared behind the unconsciousness
Deduction appears, what does the conscience say to that?

And already I remember, I went to a meeting
With buddies I have, we belong to a club.
We own a domain, you can click on us there
The club of the Bohemian Bohemians…

I come back home, drunken from good wine
Straight lines become curves, the world twists and turns, I’v really had one to many.
Next to me a puking princess, I offer her my hand and bless her
For all clear messages – this is what’s called friendship.

A few parties are enough, together with the Bohemians
The problems they’ve carried along from school.
Part of the group is Blekota, Jekota, Mekota,
Very often we talk about the sense of live.

Like now, I have a thousand questions
After remembering nothing, I piece myself together a little picture.
I recover from severe injuries, yesterday we celebrated
Holy Vyšus.

I come back home, drunken from good wine
Straight lines become curves, the world twists and turns, I’v really had one to many.
Next to me a puking princess, I offer her my hand and bless her
For all clear messages – this is what’s called friendship.

The world turns around faster and faster,
The neighbor bakes cake
The highest state of emergency is declared,
Hapkas call for Horačeks.
Crowds of Bohemian Bohemians
Leave for the open terrain
With a sword of good wine
To fight against the system

This is how we all came together, what are you thinking of, human being?
The only thing to answer is: “Why do you interfere?”
This is how we all came together, what are you thinking of, destiny?
The only thing to answer is: “It’s not going to be any different.”
