The Top Hits of the GFPS Musical Advent Calendar 2014

This post is also available in German Polish Czech Belarusian

Fisz Emade Tworzywo feat. Justyna Swięty won this years’ race with a big lead. The Waglewski brothers Bartosz (Fisz) and Piotr (Emade), together with Justyna Swięty from the electro-pop duo The Dumplings, earned this prize with their electro- and hip hop-inspired song about Polish landlife.

That’s interesting: Almost simultaneously with the publication of our 13th musical goody, the song “Pył” (dust) climbed on top of the Polish radio Trójka’s chart list. There it was only pushed down by another song by Fisz EMade Tworzywo: “Ślady” (traces) can – like “Pył” – be seen as a musical mapping of the Polish current mental landscape. This may also be the reason why the album “Mamut” was voted the best album of 2014 by Gazeta Wyborcza. One comment in our blog will be drawn to win this album – he or she will be notified shortly!

Nevertheless, we would like to mention other places in our vote: Pustki with “Nie zgubię się w tłumie”, Friedrich Liechtenstein’s “Badeschloss” and The Tap Tap “Riditel Autobusu” come right behind the winner, and show how diverse and up-to-date this year’s musical advent calendar was. Here are the Top 10:

1. – Fisz Emade Tworzywo – Staub (feat. Justyna Święs) (32%, 14 Votes)
2. – Pustki – Ich werde mich nicht in der Menschenmenge nicht verlieren (18%, 8 Votes)
3. – Friedrich Liechtenstein – Das Badeschloss (18%, 8 Votes)
4. – The Tap Tap – Der Busfahrer (16%, 7 Votes)
5. – Kafka Band – Grab (14%, 6 Votes)
6. – Kazana Twister feat Alban Juarez & Łona – Glas und Rauch (11%, 5 Votes)
7. – Umse feat. Megaloh – In Aufruhr (11%, 5 Votes)
8. – Pablopavo i Ludziki – Alfabet (11%, 5 Votes)
9. – Krambambula – Gäste (9%, 4 Votes)
10. – Wohnout – Der Verband der böhmischen Bohemiens (9%, 4 Votes)
